SEARCH LIFEGUARDS
YOU MUST READ AND ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOU CAN SEARCH FOR LIFEGUARDS:
I have read, and I understand and accept, the Terms & Conditions. I also understand and accept that there are no guarantees that any of the Lifeguards in Rent-A-Lifeguard's database are active, certified or have ever been Lifeguards. Therefore, it is up to ME, the User, to verify the information in the Lifeguard's profile. I also understand that the negotiations of payment and the terms of the Lifeguard's services are between the Lifeguard and me.

PLEASE READ AND BE PREPARED BEFORE YOU CONTACT A LIFEGUARD
Rent-A-Lifeguard cannot guarantee that every Lifeguard in its database is a qualified Lifeguard or that the Lifeguard's profile is accurate. It is up to YOU, the User, to verify the Lifeguard's qualifications.
Before you contact a Lifeguard, be prepared to give him/her the following information about your event:
a. Your full name
b. Your contact telephone numbers
c. Your email address (if you choose)
d. Date and Time of your event
e. Start and End Times the Lifeguard's services are needed (a 3-hour minimum is requested)
f. Address of your event (Give complete address to include zip code and any useful direction tips like cross-streets and landmarks)
g. Brief description of the event
h. Estimated number of adults at the event (16 years and older)
i. Estimated number of children at the event (0-15 years of age)
j. Describe the body of water where the even is being held. Example: in a pool, lake, river or ocean
k. Give an estimate of the size and depth of the body of water to the best of your knowledge. Example: the pool is 35 feet long, 20 feet wide and 12 feet deep; or a designated swimming are in the lake is 100 feet by 100 feet. Keep in mind you may need more than one Lifeguard depending on the size of the party.
l. Describe any water safety or first aid equipment at the even. Example: official water flotation devices, an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) or first aid kit.
m. Will alcohol be served?
n. How are you going to pay for their services? More than likely the Lifeguard will not be able to accept credit card payments.
o. Are there any unique or special features of this event that your Lifeguard should know about or something that is not covered above
Tips, Comments & General Guidelines On Renting The Services Of A Lifeguard
1. The cost of Lifeguard services and method of payment is to be negotiated between you (the Host of the event) and the Lifeguard. Tipping is optional.
2. Payment to the Lifeguard should be made immediately following the end of your event.
3. The renting of a Lifeguard’s services should be a minimum of 3-hours.
4. Give your Lifeguard at least 48 hours advanced notice before your next event. The more advanced notice the better.
5. Within 24-48 hours before your event, you and the Lifeguard should confirm that everything is on schedule and discuss any last minute changes.
6. Your Lifeguard should report for duty on the date and 15 minutes before the time agreed.
7. Make sure your Lifeguard is provided with a chair to sit in and if you have it, provide overhead cover, like an umbrella.
8. Print out and study our Safety Tips before your event.
9. There is no guarantee that all the Lifeguards in our database are active, certified or ever have been a Lifeguard. Therefore, it is up to YOU, the User, to verify the information in the Lifeguard’s profile.
10. If you cannot locate a Lifeguard in your area we recommend that you contact your local YMCA or Red Cross.
11. Please tell any Lifeguard that you see about Rent-A-Lifeguard and encourage them to register with our database. This service is Free and the more Lifeguards we have the more they can be put to work and save lives.
